chapter II: one-of-a-kind pieces
the hand-embroidery
each jacket is made by women living in rural rajasthan who share their stories, beliefs and their beautiful landscapes through the tapasteries they create. women tend to learn the art of hand-embroidery through other women in their families - it's a skill that's been passed down through generations.
each intricate piece of fabric takes takes 30 days to make and is sold by the women to help sustain their families livelihoods and build their communities.
you can see some of talented women and their families trying on the amazing one-of-a-kind jackets that they helped to create.
jacket-making
we partner with a local rajasthani studio where we work on different jacket shapes and select the fabrics which we want to work with. we spend time making sure the beautiful embroidered motifs and designs are showcased on each jacket in the best possible way and cut and stitch each piece to make the one-of-a-kind jackets you see today. we also select hand-block printed fabric for the lining of each jacket and use wooden buttons where possible to make sure our jackets are plastic-free.
by working with a local communities, studios and suppliers in rajastjan, we are supporting the development of their local economy, giving financial support back to artisans to help revive their trade and support their communities.
london-bound
on arrival to our london studio, each jacket is carefully checked, sorted and prepped for photography.
for our launch we organised a special photoshoot, shot by Rida Suleri-Johnson, to showcase these werable works of art. our models, aja, candace, dipa and marion, all from our omi na-na community, showed how these gorgeous pieces can be worn and loved everyday.
as a small business, our plan is to launch a small number of jackets every month (there's no mass production here!) so don't miss out on picking your favourite piece.

VINTAGE FESTIVAL CROP
this beautiful vintage-inspired crop jacket features colourful floral and animal embroidery in bright pinks and deep blues. find people dancing, celebrating a local festival on the front pockets as well as ganesh who features on the middle back. a true testament to rajasthani celebrations and folklore.

SOFT MOUNTAIN RAYS
we love this kantha and suzani long pastel jacket with its muted pink, blue, grey and green hand-embroidery on raw cotton. find lovely hand-block printed fabric on the inside too. this one-off jacket has pockets at the front (for all those essentials!) and has a loose and comfortable fit.
